Much much better!!
I resisted going to a version after 0.5.10 because while I get almost perfect commercial detection with the older version, the newer ones missed most commercials and I couldn't adjust them to work properly. I gave 0.8.1 a try and it detects commercials almost flawlessly.
A few things I've noticed. Version 0.8.1 detected my web interface (2.8) and when I told it to test login it said it tested fine. I have it set to not do commercial detection while a show is recording but it still tried. It would start detection, go til the end of what I currently had recorded, then end and generate a file with no commercial detections. Version 0.5.10 would also try since I had a newer web version but it would pause and detect a little more as the file grew until the recording stopped.
Version 0.8.2, I told it to test my web connection and nothing ever came back saying if it was successful or not. 8.1 did report back it could connect, 8.2 doesn't.
Version 0.8.2 does the same thing as 8.1, it tries to detect commercials on a file that just started to record, reaches the end then finishes reporting no commercials detected in the 2 to 5 minutes of show that was recorded at that time.
I was able to get around the above problem by telling dir mon to Wait until the target file is finished.
Schoolhouse looks really nice and I think the new one will be a very nice tool when it is completed. Things I've noticed about SH:
On one show I checked, there was a frame that ended a commercial that wasn't marked as a divider but was marked as a blank frame. Not sure why that was because it flawlessly detected all other blank frames as a divider. Since it wasn't marked as a divider, it thought the commercial was part of the show and there wasn't a way to adjust the settings to correct it that I could see.
It would be nice to have the next border frame buttons and transition buttons back if you can swing it.
Configurable forwards and backs times would help in certain cases as I had a time trying to get it to stop on a frame.
If possible, could you make the video follow the follow the detection process so we see what it is currently looking at without following it by dragging the mouse around?
Over all, I am very impressed with how far it has come. Great job!!
