This is with a SA Job...

My System:

MCE 2005
DVRMSTOOLBOX 1.0.9.6
SA 0.6.2 (registered)
DirMon2 0.5.2
Update on this issue - the main reason this is a problem for me is that SA starts processing the file about 10min into the show and then completes processing several minutes after. Causing it to only find the first commercial. If there is some way to configure this so that it does not stop processing until the show is complete, it would not be an issue.

I thought I read about people processing shows in progress, but somehow SA or DirMon2 does not seem to know that the show is not complete.

Am I the only person seeing this?

I decided to try DirMon2 on my XP box, but for some reason I can't get it to run SA at all. I'm trying to have it (1) run up to 3 instances of SA, (2) when no corresponding .txt is found for a .mpg, (3) on either of my mapped drives, (4) every 5 mins. I've attached a screenshot of each config page.

The configs for each job are identical. I've had the service log in as an administrator account to make sure it could access the mapped drives (doesn't Sage have that requirement?). I've also tried using the local system account.

I've saved the config, uninstalled the service, reinstalled, started it, but the job status never changes after refreshing.

I've also tried cutting it down to 1 SA job, with no change. Running DirMon2 shows a console window that seems to list "JobRunner loop" endlessly...

Running DirMon2 without the service seems to kick off SA fine...

Can anyone tell what I'm missing?

You don't have to put 3 different SA jobs if the settings are all identical. If you put one SA job with a resource requirement of 33, it will automatically spawn 3 instances of SA. Also, I've noticed that I had to completely uninstall Dirmon 1 and SA, and then reinstall Dirmon2 and SA for everything to work properly.

Thanks for the clarification on running multiple jobs.

I've uninstalled SA, DirMon, and DirMon2, deleted the Dragon Global dir, rebooted, reinstalled SA and DirMon2, registered SA, configured DirMon2 like the attached screenshots, saved the config, installed the service, and started the service. Same results; SA is never kicked off (and I know it has work to do.)

Any more ideas?

I have the same scenario, SA works fine when I run it manually, but DIRMON does not seem to want to kick it off. I verified I have files to process, but nothing is happening.

Thanks

In screenshot #1, you have "must not exist = txt", but nothing in the "must exist". I have "mpg, mpeg" in both target extentions and must exist, try that.

I just went through the whole uninstall/reinstall process and tried DirMon2 with that setting, but still no luck.

Alwayslearnin, are you scanning 2 mapped drives and 1 UNC path with the service using the "local system" account? I'm scanning 2 mapped drives with the service using an administrator account. Could be barking up the wrong tree, but what kinds of directories and with which credentials are the successful users of DirMon2 using?

I have one network drive which I connect using the UNC, and two local hard drives, that are mapped by drives. The application accepted the local system account and the services is running, so I assumed it was acceptable.

I have never seen anything in the instructions that state the must exists fields need to be populated, but I'll try it as well.

Not sure what could be causing the problems for you guys... Here are my settings (which work fine) in case there is something else that's different.
