Default A few small problems w/DirMon

As a sagetv user for a little over 6 months now i recently decided to try out some comskip solutions. Today i installed and tried the showanalyzer/dirmon combo. First off, kudos b/c this program is very impressive and having tried many other automatic comskip solutions on sage and myth this is by far the most accurate solution i have seen. I am however having a few strange quirks maybe you could help me through. First off, in terms of my config/setup, i decided to isntall the dirmon service and have it run at boot i also put dirmon2hidden in my startup folder, now for the strange part when i first tried getting this setup going i was getting enormous cpu usage not from SA but from dirmon, SA was being correctly throttled. Simply killing the dirmon processes and then restarting the service (w/o re-running the dirmon2hidden) fixed that problem and got my SA to correctly analyze the files. Here is where my 2nd problem comes in, when a new recording comes in, it appears to be starting the job as the new file appears in the active job window however SA never gets ran and the job has a PID of 0. It just stays this way, however if i do either restart the service or stop the service and re-run dirmon2hidden it would then scan through the drive and correctly process the files. I looked in the activity log and it says starting job sage on xxxxx (being the right newly recorded file). Without knowing a whole lot about how the program actually runs i right now am guessing that my problem here is related to it not correctly reading the status of the file. However i did try it w/wait until complete on and off and got the same results. Please let me know what information i can provide for you in order to help you possibly solve this. Also as sort of a fudge workaround i was considering writing a batch file that would launch at :05 and :35 to kill/restart the dirmon2 service or kill/restart the dirmon2hidden program (obv not a great solution but i think it might be a decent workaround), any reason why this shouldnt work?

Thanks again for all of the work

Just a question and since I don't use sage I may be way off base. Why areyou starting Dirmon in a batch file? My understanding at least with Windows is that once a service is installed and running it will always be started when the computer restarts. This is at least my experience. Maybe the extra DM starting is causing the CPU usage.

As for the processing do you have the wait till idle or wait till end items checked in DM. I don't know if Sage will hold the file hostage until it finishes therefore makeing DM hold off or not. My MCE machine seems to let DM and SA attack as soon as there is enough info to process but I have no idea if sage will.

I may have been no help but at least I was here in the middle of the night for some thoughts. Good luck. I know there is alot of Sage people around so I am sure that some one will have a better answear than me.
