I'm having this issue as well. I noticed my media computer was at 100% cpu cycles and when I checked Task Manager, DirMon2.exe was using 95-98% and over 200 megs of ram, and climbing. I closed the service, and restarted it, and within 20 minutes, it was doing the same thing again. I'm using 0.6.1.40

I'm currently running it from a command prompt to see if the issue will present itself that way as well.

*Update* this appears to be a service issue only. Running DirMon2 from the command prompt did not display any odd behaviour in a 1/2 hour run, and usually within 20 minutes the service starts gobbling up cpu and ram. After 10 minutes of CPU usage (cpu time displayed in Task Manager), DirMon2 was using over 300megs of ram.

Just an aside, there wasn't anything new to process during this time, the TV recordings are on a seperate harddrive and only SageTV and Dirmon2 + comskip use that harddrive for anything.

I'm using Dirmon2 with Comskip ver 79_56, on mpg, with must exist mpg and must not exist txt. Don't know if that matters though, as it's the dirmon2 service that is eating up all the cycles and memory, not comskip (which isn't even running).

If the command line runs fine and the service doesn't then the cause pretty much has to be permission related. It is the exact same code used.

What "Wait for..." options are you using?

I'm only using "Wait until the target file is not growing (10 secs)", and running the service as "localsystem".

But the wierd thing is it does it when it's NOT processing anything... during an afternoon when the TV drive is idle, nothing being recorded, altered or anything, and all shows already processed.
