Default DirMon2 With Many Drives

Hi.

I am running SageTV on my PVR with 6 drives. I have my drives set to spin down after 10 minutes becuase if I leave them all on all the time, they cause too much heat in my system.

Does DirMon2 wake-up all drives every so often and if so, can this be adusted?

Second part of my question is, how do I setup SA so that it starts up automatically as soon as a recording begins?

I take it that I will not need to run DirMon2 if I do my own cleanup of the eld files?

Yes it does. It has to scan the directories for any changes. I'm going to rewrite DirMon using an API that malore pointed out to me that may correct this.

DirMon2 would be my first recommendation. I don't know of any other options.

If you find something that will run SA and do the cleanup then you don't need DirMon.

Hi Jere,

I was wondering if this is something you ever had a chance to look at? I know you have been very busy. I was just curious.

Thanks,
Mike

Sorry, not yet. It is on the todo list though.
