Hi Folks/Jere;
I just wanted to post up my success with buying a key for ShowAnalyzer. I bought it because everyone said it was the premier program. I was a little leery because some folks mentioned paying and not receiving their key. I think this is because of email issues and a quick look at the posts shows that they were all resolved. As a first time buyer from an 'unknown' some basic research on this site showed me that Jere is still there and that there doesn't seem to be any deceit on his part. As someone who runs several sites I know that time constraints (or family!)sometimes have an effect on productivity. I was quite surprised then that after paying with PayPal the key email actually showed up before the PayPal receipt!! I'm very pleased with the speed of key delivery!! Well done - and certainly it's an enormous value. I'm going to hold you to the lifetime upgrade policy though ![]() I know a fair bit about email being that I'm running my own mail server (and have for years). FYI, when I registered for this forum my email never showed up. Or, more appropriately, it never made it past my server-based spam solution. As a result I checked my mail server to determine the reason - here it is; Recipient blacklisted by the Reverse DNS test (no DNS MX or A/CNAME record for domain "erver.dragonglobal.biz"). I suggest you resolve this issue because the Reverse DNS test your email failed is very commonly used by most all server-based anti-spam solutions. It would not surprise me if the majority of your forum registration emails don't go through. With regards to the program keys themselves - they are sent from the domain showanalyzer.com and this domain has proper RDNS. Simply put, if email from your keys domain can make it through my anti-spam solution (and they do) then it's 100% RFC compliant - and no-one needs to worry ![]() So, just wanted to let folks know it's safe to buy keys and that some attention needs to be put towards the forum email side of things. Best & Thanks for the prompt keys! Last edited by mmiller; 01-13-2009 at 07:17 PM. Reason: Additions/Changes |

The key (hehe) is in this part of the error message from my server;
(no DNS MX or A/CNAME record for domain "erver.dragonglobal.biz"). So, we're talking about DNS records for erver.dragonglobal.biz I wonder if that's supposed to be server? ![]() Anyway, what's happening is that you are either missing... An MX record or an A record/CNAME record for erver.dragonglobal.biz In other words, your DNS records are incorrect and reverse DNS lookup on that domain is failing. I just tried doing a reverse lookup (manually) on erver.dragonglobal.biz and it fails. I then tried server.dragonglobal.biz and that fails too. However, you do have a mail.dragonglobal.biz.... |

Ok. So I made some adjustments to how vbulletin is configured. Now emails get sent with this in the header:
*edit - removed headers* That address resolves to server.dragonglobal.biz. Can you see if you get the same error? That would be most helpful. Thanks, Jere
