Default WMC7, SA, and Hauppauge 2250 setup help???

Hey Guys,
Sorry for the dumb nubie questions in advance? Just downloaded and purchased a registered copy of ShowAnalyzer v1 and having trouble getting it too work under WMC7 x64 using the dual Hybrid Tuner Hauppauge 2250 card. Using WMC7 x64 as my primary DVR device with cox analog and QAM HD cabletv. I followed this link:
Setup DVRMSToolbox and ShowAnalyzer for Commercial Skip
and can see SA working and analyzing commercials in my MyRecordingTV folder but how do I get it to remove the commercials automatically from my .WTV recordings. So far haven't seen it skip any commericals in either my DVR recordings or LiveTV?
Do you guys have any suggestions that might help?
Have the latest DVRMSToolbox and MC addin installed.
Not sure what I am doing wrong? Hoping to get this thing rolling before the Olympics start...
Thanks

Are you getting xml files in C:\Users\Public\DvrmsToolbox\CommercialsXml? That's the first thing to check, if you aren't seeing them then neither will the MC add-in, so it won't skip commercials. As for stripping the ads out of the recordings, that can be done but it's a bit more complicated (have to convert from wtv to dvr-ms), also you run the risk of having show content ripped out if commercial detection isn't 100% accurate, and you can't undo it.

Also you can't remove them from the file with this product. You'll need something else that takes the output of SAV1 as an input to remove the commercials. I know VideoRedo can do this for mpg and ts files, but I'm not sure about wtv files.

Thanks for the posts.
Yep, getting .XML files in the C:\Users\Public\DvrmsToolbox\CommericalsXml folder. Also can I setup DvrmsToolbox to automatically perform commerical skip on the RecordedTV folder via FileMon?

Just make sure the Commercial path in DVRMSToolbox's Commercial skip tab is set to C:\Users\Public\DvrmsToolbox\CommericalsXml and that the "auto skip" box is checked and you should be skipping commercials. If you've installed the MC add-in for DTB, that's all you need. I don't know what Filemon is, do you mean Dirmon?

Cool Re: WMC7, SA, and Hauppauge 2250 setup help???

Can see the .xml files and when I open SA1 it is working as I can see all of my recordings. But for some reason can't skip commericals using the remote? Doesn't do anything? Have the MCE plugin running, and DTEplugin is listed in the extras menu? Also have Dirmon2 installed and service running but nothing setup in settings yet.

I'm not on my main machine right now (HTPC) so I can't check the specific settings, but basically you need to run the dvrmstompegsettings, go to the commercial skip tab, and from the pulldowns for each action select what key you want to perform what function. I had a lot of trouble with this one, as I'm still using the ATI remote that came with one of my old tuners and ithe remote is not even Vista compatible, let alone Win7, but I made it work. On the pus side it has 6 extra buttons that you can set to emulate any keyboard keystroke, so I set up the commercial skipping by mapping ABCDEF to something DTB can use. What remote are you using?

Thinking the remote might be the issue, it works in WMC7 but no option ever comes up to skip the commercials. How do I setup to work with SAV1/DVRMStoolbox? Have a few remotes that I am playing with:
Rosewill WMC7 remote here:

Newegg.com - Rosewill Windows 7 Certified Media Center Infrared Remote Control RRC-127

and NmediaPC remote found here:

Newegg.com - nMEDIAPC HTPCKB-B Black 2.4GHz RF Wireless Streamlined Keyboard with Track Ball & Remote Combo Set - Keyboards

It doesn't appear that either of those remotes have any programmable keys, as far as I can tell. The default settings in DTB (DVRMSToolbox) have commercial skip to be the "right" key (same as right-arrow on keyboard). The problem with that is, the same key is used in Media Center to bring up the program info/details/captions/etc menu. The MC add-in is supposed to detect when recorded content is being played and override the Media Center behavior, but it doesn't always work. To determine if your issue is with the remote itself, or the DTB MC add-in, try changing the settings to something like mine (attached). With these settings and programmable buttons on my remote I don't have any issues since I'm not using any default Media Center commands for commercial skipping. If you set the forward key to F, for example, and play a recording, press F on the keyboard. If it skips the commercial or pops up with anything like "Commercial file does not exist" then you know the MC add-in is working, and you can start playing around with the settings. If it does nothing, then you know the add-in isn't running/has crashed or didn't install correctly. Unfortunately, sometimes the add-in crashes, with no notification; it simply stops working. This is a known issue and has become less and less frequent with each new version, but it still happens. Usually, closing and restarting Media Center, or watching a few seconds of live TV will make it start working again.
