Default Long processing time

I'm using ShowAnalyzer version 1.0.31.680 It takes 45mins or more to process each 30 minute show. Is that normal? It seems like a long time?

More or less . . . . It's quite dependant on your HTPC specs, as well as the format of the show you processed. When SA misbehaves, I've seen it take 12 hours to process a 30 minute show.

So, what kind of PC are you running? Is it an ION with a 1.6GHz Atom, or maybe some hairy beast with the fastest i7 and SSD RAID?

Bye.

So do I. Mine works fairly well with Windows 7 and SA1 when it's in a good mood. Most of the time, SA will start a few minutes into the show and can pretty much keep up with an HD recording, so it ends some minutes past the end of the show. For stand-alone processing, it actually takes a little longer, so 45 minutes for a 30 minute show is in the ballpark, though it may depend on how fast your hard drive is. Mine is pretty fast and would do most 30 minute shows in well under 45 minutes. In looking at the log, I see some shows well under their run time, and some that take several times their run time when it's in a bad mood.

When the boss finished cleaning up SA with W7, I'm guessing it will be on the shorter side much of the time.

Bye.

I am having the same problems. I am using SA 1 with windows 7. Sometimes a file will process in 30 minutes, which is fine. However I frequently get files that get "stuck" and they will not finish processing or it takes days to get it processed. This does not happen all the time, but it does occur frequently. Is there a reason for this or some setting that can change? Is there something I can do to get it to finish processing when the file seemingly becomes "stuck" at a certain percentage? Thanks

It is my understanding that the boss is looking into that problem. I was amazed when he said that when it happens to him, he just kills the process. I guess we need to be patient.

Bye.
