Default Using different profiles for different channels

I am new to Showanalyzer coming from Comskip.

I want to simply use a different profile for certain channels.

I have searched the forums and web and it seems Schoolhouse is the easy way to do this, but isn't available yet for 1.0.

I have also seen I need to change the global.ini and put in some kind of conditions in [Setting Selection].

However, I have searched high and low and can't find any example or any documentation on what I need to put in there to use a different profile for a certain channel.

Thanks

It seems I need something like this:

[Setting Selection]
Count = 1
Setting 0 = CN
Criteria 0 = channel_name is_exactly FNC

but I am not clear how I designate the profile filename or the naming convention of it.

The profiles functionality doesn't exist in ShowAnalyzer Suite. I'm going to move this thread the the straight ShowAnalyzer thread where it will probably get more responses, but it is no longer the supported version so I'm not sure. This feature is on the list of new features coming in the Suite, but no ETA on it yet.

It's been a really long time since I've used the profiles feature, but if I recall correctly you create the settings you want for a profile and do something like a Save As with a different name. There's no naming convention required, but you can only set conditions to point to a profile that already exists.

I am using the latest version (1.052 I think), so I am not following you when you say it is "no longer the supported version".

Are you saying the 1.XX versions don't support profiles at all?

How about using the command line version with the profile switch?

That's exactly what I'm saying. It will be in a future version, but it doesn't exist at this point in time.
