ShowAnalyzer Application has encountered a problem

I need help. I can't get showanalyzer to work with any of my recordings. I have Windows Media Center 2005 set up with a dct6200 recording over the firewire conection. I have tryed using 3 different versions of showAnalyzer and everyone of them has given me a error message "ShowAnalyzer Application has encountered a problem and needs to shutdown". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Then it would seem that SA doesn't support that type of file. Would you be willing to upload a sample so I can analyze it?

Not to barge in here, but I have an SVCD Standard recording (SageTV) that does the same thing. "ShowAnalyzer Application has encountered a problem and needs to shutdown"

I figure SVCD recordings are not supported? Separate thread?

Looking at the log file, it seems as if everything went fine. That type of file would seem to be supported. I'll know more as I dig in.

SVCD's are MPEG-1 and SA doesn't support MPEG-1.

I think that knowing what capture card you are using would help as well. SageTV will give you the "SVCD Quality" option to record meaning that it may be just recording MPEG2 with very low quality. Unless your capture card specifies that it records in MPEG1 then it might be low quality MPEG2.

I can't get that file to fail. Can you verify that the short file you uploaded fails on your system?
