SchoolHouse is back!

I have uploaded version 0.8.0. This should not be considered a stable version! Download and use it only if you're willing to put up with some... um... quirks.

I think it should be relatively easy to use. But, of course, I wrote it, so I know what means what. If there is anything that isn't clear then let me know.

- Added code to handle a file that "mysteriously" disappears (e.g. it was deleted) while SA is processing it.
- Corrected some live detection errors.
- Started preparation for new decision making code.

Well, I have had poor results all along with show analyzer, however, this new version suddenly seems to be detecting commercials flawlessly on the default settings! I don't know what you changed but it sure as hell worked!!

I'm in the uk using media center 2005 with dvb-t.

Im in the UK too and having great success with the three DVB-T channels ive tried so far, only very minor tweaks to the 'min commercial length' were needed to give me 100% detection.

SchoolHouse makes these little tweaks a doddle!

I told dirmon to pull up the new Schoolhouse instead of the old show analyzer and it comes up in full-screen but doesn't process anything. I wan't the use the latest beta. How do I do this?

To just use the newer version, when I upgraded, I uninstalled old version, installed new version, register the software, and made no change to dirmon. The executable is still showanalyzer.exe. Basically, you don't use schoolhouse to process shows, you use it to help tweak the setup.

I started using SA without SchoolHouse. I just installed SA 0.8 beta with SchoolHouse.

I don't know or understand how to use schoolhouse.

What do I do?

Me either, I just expect it to work. Currently segments are cut short 'slightly' and new segments begin a little too soon. Seems like maybe it's an offset somewhere. Who knows.

That is actually quite normal. SA does some "massaging" to the commercial times before saving them to disk that SH doesn't take into account. You can also see evidence of this if there is a short "show" block in the middle of some commercials. The output file will correctly abide by the "Shortest Possible Show Segment" setting but SH won't. The next version will correctly reflect exactly what the output file will have.

I can't tell any difference between the beta .8 and previous version of SA that I've been running. I really don't see anything new or different in running or the outcome?
