commercials are cut most of the time
Dear Jere:
last night i recorded Perry Mason on the Hallmark channel. When the network cuts directly to a commericial it is cut out. When they go into a promo for the network, then to a commercial, the commercials are not cut out. this has also occurred on the SciFi channel. Can this be rectified? Thank you davcra50@hotmail.com

It depends on if SA can find the dividing point between the show and the promo. Fire up SchoolHouse and see if it did find a divider there. If it did, then it is just tweaking the length score modifiers. If not then try turning on Scene Change as a possible divider.
