Sowanalyzer integration with DVRMS Toolbox

Hi,

I have just come across ShowAnalyzer, it seems more han worth its $10 tag. After tweaing a few settings it can almost flwlessly detect ads in schoolhouse from dvrms recordings created by MCE. However, when I try to use it via DVRMS toolbox the results are awful - in fact I'm not sure its doing anything at all. I know show analyzer is runnig because DVRMS toolbox outputs a line telling me I have 13 days leftto register it, but the add skipping just isn't working.

Perhaps it is using the wrong settings in showanalyzer? I found a user guide for the toolbox that was little help. I realise this may not be the place to ask this, but it seems a pity that the hard part (detecting the adds) is working so well, but getting this part to talk to the stripping part is so far failing :-)

You're in the right place.

When you tweak the settings in the SchoolHouse, do you save them? Do you save them as default? When you reopen the SchoolHouse, does it load your adjusted settings or the old defaults?

The settings are certainly saved, they are reloaded each time and if I check the config files themselves they also have the new settings in.

There is nowhere in DVRMS toolbox to specify the config to use, but I assume it just uses the default? Perhaps usign DVRMS toolbox from the command line so I can specify exactly what I want it to do would help...

What happens if you open SA directly and point it at a file? Does it use the correct settings? If it does, then I'm afraid I'd have to ask babgvant.
