crashing on ATI 550 output

SA was working great with my old tuner (hauppauge 500) but when I got rid of the 500, I re-formatted and now SA crashes whenever I open an mpg from my new tuner, an ATI 550.

The ShawAnalyzer window pops up (not running invisible mode yet) but I immediately get the Windows "Error report" popup. SA leaves an empty log and empty edl file in my recording directory.

I'm on WinXP, SageTV (latest release, not beta), and also running an HDHomerun form HD content.

The files play fine in SageTV and WMP. I have uninstalled and reinstalled SA several times (including deleting the old directory). I've also tried outputting txt instead of edl, and I've changed my reording quality within Sage.

Any suggestions?

SA also crashes on my ATI 650 when using SageTV on Windows XP to do the recording. I sent a sample to Jere already a couple of weeks ago, and he said he'd look into it, but I haven't heard back from him. Either way I don't really care about the problem anymore because since then I switched to Vista Media Center and SA doesn't crash using the same ATI 650s.
