I also have Cox Cable in Phoenix, extended analog service, and the default settings work pretty well. Sometimes it messes up, but it's at least as good as Comskip.

The real benefit is that ShowAnalyzer is a couple of orders of magnitude faster. It does a 2 hour movie in about 6 minutes! I am very pleased with the performance. ComSkip would take about an hour or more.

Hey Satoshi, I'm on Cox Cable in Phoenix also, for the shows that I record I get very good results with the default SA settings.

I'm not sure about your 6 minute claim, I have my system analyse real time so that I can skip commercials while a show is still recording.

Wink SA Settings? US/DirecTV

Hi,

I have a standard definition DirecTV Hughes Receiver and I'm using a Happaugue 250MCE tuner card in SageTV. I was wondering if anybody has fairly accurate settings for this setup. I watch a lot of:

Comedy Central: Daily Show, Colbert Report and South Park
SciFi Channel: Battlestar Galactica, Stargate Atlantis/SG-1
Discovery Science
Discovery

Any suggestions are appreciated. Daily Show recording are what I'm testing with, and so far, not much luck.

Thanks,
Joe

Default NASCAR on ABC

I played around with SchoolHouse for hours last night trying to get NASCAR on ABC to detect properly, however there are tons of missed scenes and dividers. Does anyone want to take a look? It's in HD with DVR-MS and I can u/l to rapidshare or something..

Actually, this happens with a lot more than nascar, just about everything that is ATSC, it screws up on and I just can't get it to work on any channel ATSC.

If you want me to u/l a couple DVRMS to rapidshare or an FTP, I'd be more than willing to do it.
