Jere,
I have a directory full of programs that have caused SA to crash. I've got two inputs...1 is instead of having SA repeatedly re-run on the same file, and continually generating "SA crashed" dialogues, is there a way for SA to recognize that it failed and not try again? For example if Dirmon wrote a 0 byte file to disk before starting SA, and then erased that file after writing the EDL, it could know not to retry that file until the user deleted the original file. I'm a little tired of pounding 20~30 instances of SA failed diaogues every morning with my coffee .Second...how can I get you these failing files so you can take a look at what is going on. Thanks, mv |

Normally SA will write the files that are set as "When beginning processing" as soon as it starts, but it does require that *SOME* information can be extracted. I have made some changes that fix this so that if SA can't gleen *ANY* information about the file it will still write the files and exit gracefully. I will release that version tomorrow (March 14th).
To answer your question about sending me files, I am sending you a PM with the instructions. Jere
