Official ShowAnalyzer feature request thread

I've just installed the TV Pack, so I'm sure you can anticipate the feature request. Can you work your magic and make ShowAnalyzer work with WTV files?

I have the TV pack, and haven't installed it because of the new .wtv file format which I'm assuming SA won't work with. Jere, if you need a .wtv file to test with, drop me a line and I'll send you one.

Yeah, SA does not work at all. Likewise, let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

I'd like to clarify that SA doesn't work at all on WTV files.

Of course, according to the author of DVRMSToolbox, even if it did, the TV Pack takes away the ability to programatically skip the commercials. Ugh.

I backed up my Vista partition and installed the TV Pack just for giggles. Unfortunately I got an error "commercial skip add-in failed" right off the bat. So until DVRMSToolbox is updated, no TV Pack for us.

You guys running VMC should stop being victims of battered wife syndrome and move to a real PVR like SageTV. Not only do you get HD-DVR support and commercial skip, but with neilm's remote web access plugin, everything you lost when microsoft broke remote scheduling too. :-)

I would like to be able to export all the settings from SA (and DirMon, for that matter), so that I can import them again after an OS reinstall.

hi all, hi jere,

thanks for your program. I bought it today. I'm from germany, tried to get rid of some commercials of a Pro7-channel record.
Haven't had so much luck with the default settings - I'm gonna have to play with the settings for a while, probably.

However, In germany many many Channels have their own melody / littel ad of themself which they play just right before the Commercials start.

If one could mark this "commercials-start-after-these-frames"-part it wouldn't take so much effort to detect it, would it?



And here's another problem / feature request: In Showanalyzer I have the red block of commercials which is nice. However, it starts AND ENDS to late.

Both, the false positive and the false negative have a way too high / low score.

Now, I only see the score of the blocks. It would be easier to fine-tune the settings if I knew WHICH VALUES THIS SCORE CONSISTS OF...
