Default SA 0.9.7 two instances on dual core hang.

Hi, this is a combination DirMon2 and SA issue, it seems. If I set the SA task in DirMon2 to have 100 resources required, and global settings in DirMon2 to have 100 resources available, it works fine for commercial skip file generation.

I have a dual-core Athlon 4850e processor, but if I set the SA task to have 50 resources required, so two instances of SA run at the same time, both instances sit at 0% CPU in task manager and do not generate any commercial skip files... Whats going on?!

That is odd. What OS are you using?

Vista Ultimate 32bit. I just bought new hardware; AMD 4850e, 2gigs DDR2, Asus M3N78-VM motherboard. I did a full reinstall; OS, SageTV, Dirmon2 and SA after the hardware upgrade.

Does increasing the priority to below normal help?

No change... both instances of SA sit at 0-2% CPU according to taskmgr, and only a blank file is created, but nothing is generated within.

I'd understand if there was something else causing an issue, but a single instance works fine... The only thing I change from one to the other is 50 resources req vs 100 in Dirmon2.

If I stop the DirMon2 service, both instances of SA still sit idle, BUT if I manually remove one of them, the other one jumps up to 40-50% cpu (maxing out 1 core) and processes the mpg normally.

Incidentally, if I run 2 instances of SA by manually dropping mpg files on them, the first runs fine, and as soon as I start a second it drops to 0% cpu for both... Kill one, and it returns to ~40-50%.
