I am running the windows 7 rc. I recently upgraded my system with two ati digital cable tuners. I have sav1 and the latest dvrmstoolbox installed and successfully removing commercials from my recordings. The only problem I've noticed so far is that sav1 isn't removing commercials from any recordings from my digital cable tuners such as tnthd or discovery hd. If i manually try to scan a file with the sav1 program, the videos just sit in the queue and never process. I know that all of the recordings show up in the .wtv format, but I'm curious if there is a drm protection preventing sav1 from working with these files. Any input would be great guys. Thanks

Through further reading I see that it is .wtv drm copy protection preventing this. I'm hoping some more of the brilliant people out there will find a way to remove drm from .wtv files This is my hope anyway. There are programs to remove the drm from itunes, .wmv files, etc. You can easily rip and copy any dvd with any amount of protection they put on there, even the pesky disney movies with the right software. The manufacturers created hdcp because they felt that blu-ray protection would never be broken via software and that the only weakness would be a high definition "vcr" of sorts. Its my thinking that once someone figures out how to remove .wtv drm it wont be hard to have that be an automated process so programs like showanalzyer can do what they do best.
