ShowAnalyzer, DirMon2, and SageTV Setup

I have used this setup (DirMon2 and SA) successfully for SD broadcasts for quite a while now, but I have never had good luck with HD (OTA from a Fusion Lite, and QAM via HDHOMERUN).
On MPG files, I will get commercial markings, but Sage will always jump in about 30sec. before the program starts and jump out 5 sec before the program end (and commercials begin).
Now, with TS file, I get no entries in the EDL files at all, and SA seems to freeze on that one file.

Is my situation unique? Is there another setting I can try?

Hey Geogecko,

I followed your instructions on ShowAnalyzer setup for SageTV, and it appears to be working fine with the batch processing. I was hoping to find a follow up post on SageMC 16x9 setup to enable the automatic commercial skipping. Are you planning one?

Also, I was wondering if you can recommend a utility that might also (in batch) clip out the marked commercials from the file.

the images server, http://www.thebentzhome.com, that you are using to host your images is down.

Maybe you could try using something like photobucket or flickr?

Does anyone have ShowAnalyzer set up to work with the Sage WebServer add-on? I'm trying to get ShowAnalyzer to NOT process any shows from HBO, so I added a profile detailing such, but it seems to be ignoring it.

yeah, I was wonder about this too. HBO and PBS is the channels I'd like to no process. How is this down?

Sorry guys, for some reason, I still never get notification when people post to this thread, even though I'm subscribed.

I hope that the images haven't been giving anyone problems. I haven't had too many problems with my hosting service, so hopefully that won't happen again.

I'd put them on photobucket, but they limit the bandwidth that the pictures can use, as least, from what I know, so depending on how many people had viewed this post, the images would again disappear.

I don't have experience yet on using the Webserver with SA. It should be fairly easy to setup, but it sounds like maybe it's not being enabled or something.

Joe, as long as your EDL files are in the same folder as it's respective show, then getting SageMC to see them is automatic, or should be, anyway. If the files are there, and you see purple commercial bars dividing up the show in the time bar, then SageMC already sees it. To get it to automatically skip, you just need to hit the options button while watching the show, and turn Auto Com Skip to enabled. There is a setting within SageMC options now, to have this set to an initial value, so it can automatically be set to enabled all the time, or disabled, then you can use the options menu to change it for each particular case.
