Default Hauppauge and H.264

i have been recommended the Hauppauge HD-PVR because of the limits my cable box has. I can't find a clear answer regarding SA working with H.264. Will my live commercial skipping dreams come true or am I at a dead end yet again?

SA does not work with H.264. SAV1 does, sort of. Comskip kinda works with it, but it is still Comskip.

For now, your commercial free programming or at least your commercial free programing without actually touching the remote are history.

You should be ok getting the Hauppauge and in the future, skipping will be easier, for now, it will be a bit of a pain with some shows.

I currently own 0.8.2, if I upgrade to 1.x will SA support H.264 coming from my Hauppauge HDPVR?

SAV1 does work with the HD-PVR files. I'm using it that way right now.

are there any non default settings that I need to tweek on SAV1. I'm using the trial version of 1.0.32.718. All settings are set to their stock default values, and I'm trying to scan a TS file created by a HD-PVR.
