This version by dirtygreek, w/ the change of the high prob length down to 0.9, has been perfect for both boradcast (nbc, abc, fox) and catv (a&e, fx, cartoon netowrk) that I watch.

FX has actually been the hardest to program for, but I did these after watching adult swim. The opening segment of a fullmetal alchamist was treated like a commercial up to the opening credits. That one change (even setting to 1.0 was too high) was perfect, and has proved so for just about everythign else since (seen it screw up 1x in one recording)

These settings were pretty darn good for me too... until the new 0.6.0 release.. keeping these settings instead of the default one's that Jerry creates witht he install was BAD News!

Any chance you have a set you can share that work equally as well with the new Revision of SA?

Im not sure if its those settings or SA but whenever I record a half hour show it doesnt find any commercials?

Somerthing seemed to change at ABC for one...it's been hard to fix.

But I found changing these did help most other stuff. It seems it detects what is a whole commerical, and what is a block, differently now:

Longest Possible Commercial Segment = 420
Longest Possible Individual Commercial = 130
Shortest Possible Commercial Segment = 25
Shortest Possible Show Segment = 15

Try out randyharris's settings over in successful settings....I tried them out, and except for ABC, they perform very well.

I believe Randy's are for a previous version of SA..

I did try Mark's and then added your modifiers for longest and shortest segments.. seems to work pretty well!

Well, I had it bomb out on FX last night. So, I decided to change tactics, and try and use the SA defaults for .62 (doign a clean install).

After changign the time some more, they have worked great on SH tests of shows from FX and A&E. Still going to test on CN and CBS. I tired Lost (Invasion fairs as pbadly in prvious tests), but interestingly, was just as bad as always.
